Yumka Dechen Gyalmo
Empowerment & Teaching
The terma known as Yumka Dechen Gyalmo
(“Queen of Great Bliss” or Dakini) was revealed by the omniscient Jigme Lingpa, primary transmitter of the Longchen Nyingthig
cycle of Dzogchen teachings. Khenpo Guru
will confer the empowerment based on Longchen Nyingthig
cycle.
Yumka is practiced on Dakini Day, 25th
day of Tibetan calendar, in our centre, Namdroling Monastery
and many other Palyul centres worldwide. Khen Rinpoche will
also give teaching based on the practice text of Dakini “The Queen of
Great Bliss of Longchen Nyingthig” based on our
monthly puja prayer text. This practice is an
especially efficacious means for purifying one’s Vajrayana
samaya. The central meditational deity of Yumka is the
Wisdon Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal, consort to Guru Rinpoche.

start to feel scared and do not know what to do or where we

Drolma Yongdüe
To welcome the year 2012, we will conduct our yearly Drolma
Yongdüe Puja on 30th & 31st December 2011 to
pray for good health, peace and prosperity for all our
devotees.
Drolma Yongdüe is a type of Tara ritual specially performed
to eradicate obstacles. During this ritual, participants
will place their cut fingernails, hair or clothing (worn and
unwashed), together with the len-chag (a type of mold
used for rubbing onto unwell body areas) into a receptacle
called ‘Düe’.
The eight auspicious signs adorn the pinnacle of the ‘Düe’,
which consists of four sections together with the eight
offerings, etc. The first section represents the obstacles
and negativities of participants, the second section
represents sea creatures, the third section represents
various animals while the fourth section represents the
woods and greeneries. At the end of this ritual, the ‘Düe’
will be offered to the evil spirits, and subsequently
discarded, thus eliminating the causes of obstacles.
NOTE:
It is compulsory that the substances placed in the ‘Düe’
must come from participants who have joined at least
one session of Drolma Yongdüe.
Prerequisite:
Participants attending the puja MUST BE on vegetarian.
