Introduction on Guru Padmasambhava

Before passing into Nirvana, Lord Buddha Shakyamuni had announced the coming of the second Buddha, the great Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche) in the Immaculate Goddess Sutra, Tantra of the Perfect Embodiment of the Unexcelled Nature and Tantra of the Ocean of Ferocious Activity.

The Vajrayana teachings were successfully propagated in this world as a result of Guru Padmasambhava’s great realization and spiritual powers. To ensure the completion and consecration of Samye Monastery, the first monastery in Tibet, he tamed negative forces that were creating obstacles. Through his everlasting compassion and diverse skilful means, he concealed numerous teachings (termas) for future generations.

Tertons prophesied by Guru Padmasambhava himself would reveal these terma teachings. Even in recent times, these terma teachings continued to be discovered.

Sacred Tendu Rilbu Pills

Tendu Rilbu literally means “The Pill of the collection of sacred objects”. As mentioned before, it is made up of 275 different sacred samaya substances that came from H.H. Penor Rinpoche’s Tengam.

For a full list of sacred substances in the pill, please click on the link "Tendu Rilbu Pill" on the top of the page.

Benefits of wearing Guru Padmasambhava Pendant

The Guru Padmasambhava pendants, exquisitely encased and cast in pure gold, silver or copper, were consecrated with the heart mantras of Guru Rinpoche, Dharma pills and pieces of H.H. Penor Rinpoche’s robes, together with the Tendu Rilbu pill. As the Tendu Rilbu pill is an extraordinary substance of protection, the person wearing the pendants of Guru Padmasambhava will be protected from different diseases, demons, defilements and impurities. In addition, the person will be constantly blessed and protected in this life, in future lives as well as during the intermediate state.

Generally, the five metals (gold, silver, copper, iron, and tin) have many healing qualities. Wearing objects made of these materials upon one’s body aids in healing different kinds of illnesses like fever, coldness, contagious diseases and epidemics.  In particular, this will improve the splendor of one’s body, prolong life and increase virtue, power and fortune. These are well shown in the four medicine tantras.  If one perceives the aforesaid with faith, pure perception, respect and reverence, benefits arising from this is certain and actual.
